• About Category: 
  
  National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
  
  In NRC 2021, WRO-Regular Category 2021 is a rules based competition where students design, build and program a robot that will solve missions on a playfield. The format of the competition is adapted from the international WRO Regular.
  
  There are 3 categories in the WRO-Regular Category competition. Namely, Primary category, Secondary category and Tertiary category. NRC will follow the gameplay of WRO Challenge for the Elementary, Junior and Senior categories respectively.
  
  The age requirements are as such:
  • WRO Regular, Elementary (Primary) : 8-12 years old
  • WRO Regular, Junior (Secondary) : 13-16 years old
  • WRO Regular, Senior (Tertiary) : 16-19 years old
  
• Format:
  
  WRO-Regular will consist of Qualifiers and subsequently Finals.
  
  For Qualifiers teams will have to submit their Robot Video Submission and will be scheduled for live Online Presentations. Shortlisted teams will be selected and will be invited for the finals.
  
  In the finals, there will only be an Online Robot Challenge component and no presentations. Surprise rules may be introduced for the finals.Details of the scoring mechanism for Qualifiers and Finals can be found in the WRO Regular Category 2021-General Rules document.

WRO Open Category 2021 is a themed competition where
students design a robot or robotics system that solves a real-world problem.

• About Category: 
  
  National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
  
  For the WRO Open Category in 2021, your team has the task to develop a robot or robot model that can help solve challenges that arise from using renewable energy.
  
  Teams may choose to create a solution based on any, or combination, of these 3 themes:
  1. Energy at your home or community
  2. Energy and Transportation
  3. Energy mix in our daily life
  
  The age requirements are as such:
  • WRO Open : 8-19 years old
  
  
• Format:
  
  WRO Open Category will be conducted in an online blended format. Teams will be invited to give a live presentation to Judges via a teleconferencing system. (to be announced at a later date)
  
  There is a video and other materials that need to be submitted prior to presentation day. Refer to WRO Open Category 2021- General Rules challenge document for details.
  
  Teams will be scored by our Judges reviewing the presentation. Scores are based on the requirements given in the challenge manual.

  National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
  
  In NRC 2021, WeDo Junior Regular Category 2021- FOREST FIRE RESCUE is a rules based competition where students design, build and program a robot that will solve missions on a playfield.
  
  WeDo Junior Regular Category 2021 is adapted from the WRO WeDo Competitions format. Some changes have been made.
  
  The age requirements are as such:
  1. WeDo Junior Challenge – Regular : 6-10 years old
  
• Format:
  
  WeDo Junior Regular Category will be conducted in an online blended format. Teams will have to submit their Robot Missions Video. Teams will be scored by our judges reviewing the submitted video.
  
  Scores are based on the requirements given in the challenge manual.

About WRO Future Engineers

WRO Future Engineers 2021 is a competition where
teams utilize Artificial Intelligence to build an autonomous driving car.

• About Category: 
  
  National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
  
  Organisers of NRC 2021 are proud to announce a new category called, WRO Future Engineers 2021. This is a rules based competition where students design, build and program an autonomous driving car that will be able to detect traffic-signals on the playfield via a camera.
  
  Teams will be required to build an autonomous robot that utilizes Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence to navigate around the track.
  
  The age requirements are as such:
  1. WRO Future Engineers 2021 : 15-20 years old 
  
• Format:
  
  WRO Future Engineer will be conducted in an online blended format. There are no qualifiers to this competition. Teams are required to submit a Robot Mission video.
  
  Teams will be scored by our Judges reviewing the submitted video. Scores are based on the requirements given in the WRO Future Engineers 2021 challenge manual.

About CoderZ Coding Challenge

Proudly sponsored by Amazon as part of the Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge, CoderZ Coding Challenge is a rule-based competition where students are tasked to strategise and program a virtual robot to accomplish challenges.

• About Category: 
  
  National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotics competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
  
  In NRC 2021, CoderZ Coding Challenge is an online points-based competition. Teams will log into the portal accessible via a browser and start coding their virtual robot to accomplish tasks.
  There will be two main Challenges and a series of Missions leading up to the Challenges.
  
  The competition is a one-day event with no preparations required by teams. Teams will undergo a training session in the morning of the competition day. In the afternoon, teams will be given access to the Challenges and Missions to score as many points as possible.
  
  The age requirements are as such:
  1. CoderZ Coding Challenge (Primary): 9-12 years old
  2. CoderZ Coding Challenge, (Secondary): 13-16 years old
  
  Team size: A team is made up of 6 members.
  
  Additional self-learning resources
  In partnership with Amazon as part of the Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge, participants can create a free CoderZ account to practice coding on the Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge platform in preparation for the competition.
