Leveraging FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Competitions for Direct School Admission Program
FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competitions hold substantial importance in schools specialising in robotics and STEM. High performance in these competitions serves as a pathway for potential applicants to secure successful admissions through the Direct School Admission route.
Reasons why FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) is the Best
- The level and prestige of the competition: Winning a regional competition like FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) might hold more weight than placing in a smaller, local event. The winners stand a chance to represent Singapore in global competitions.
- Accessibility and inclusivity: Caters to a wider age range (4 -19 years old) compared to some other robotics competitions
- Supportive community and learning environment: A strong and supportive community in Singapore. Numerous robotics and STEM focused learning centres provide training specially catered towards FIRST® LEGO® League. For instance, STEAM Engine.
Private Internal FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Competitions for Schools
Schools have the option to host FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competitions internally. Intra-school or inter-school FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competitions held during off-peak periods contribute to boosting students' confidence.
